James DiBella
Founding Attorney
James DiBella is a seasoned trial attorney with over twelve years of courtroom experience. Born just blocks from Independence Hall and raised in South Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley, James brings a grounded, no-nonsense approach to legal advocacy.
He earned his undergraduate degree in Medical Technology from the University of Delaware and went on to receive his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law in New Jersey. While at Rutgers, he was honored with the prestigious Benjamin Asbell Award for excellence in advocacy — a recognition that reflected his early commitment to litigation.
Since then, James has represented clients across a wide range of legal matters — from complex civil disputes to criminal and traffic cases, as well as family court litigation. He’s practiced in Lake, Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, McHenry, and Will counties in Illinois, and is licensed to practice in both Illinois and Texas. He is also a member of the General Bar for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
In addition to his work in the courtroom, James takes pride in helping clients find skilled legal representation at affordable rates across various practice areas.
When he’s not advocating for clients, James enjoys driving fast and spending time with his wife and their five children.
